Little Adventures Yoga Classes –
This 1 hour yoga class is for children ages 5-9. Children will work on strengthening their minds and bodies through basic and challenging yoga poses. They will practice basic yoga sequences, partner poses, breathing techniques and play fun yoga games. They will learn healthy stress and anxiety coping mechanisms, and work on building self esteem in a non-competitive, playful environment. They will also learn about self-love and the importance of showing kindness to others. Leave your socks and shoes at the door and come play on the mat!
Salute The Sun Yoga Classes –
This 1 hour vinyasa yoga class is for children 10-13. They will be working on basic yoga poses, partner poses, breathing techniques, and basic flows. Children will be able to learn healthy stress and anxiety coping mechanisms, work on building self-love in a non-competitive environment, and the importance of showing kindness to others. They will also work on flexibility, coordination, strength and balance, while playing fun yoga games. Leave your socks and shoes at the door and come play on the mat!
Wildly Rooted Yoga Classes –
This 1 hour vinyasa yoga class is for teens 14-17. In this class kids will practice yoga flows and sequencing, and they will learn basic yoga poses, partner poses and breathing techniques. This non-competitive environment will give kids a chance to work on building self-esteem, cope with stress and anxiety, and improve balance, self love, flexibility and coordination. Leave your socks and shoes at the door, and come play on the mat!
Instructor Bio –
Kristen Longphee is a certified yoga instructor from New Hampton, NH. She recently graduated from My Vinyasa Practice with her 200 Hour YTT certificate, and has had a dedicated yoga practice for 4+ years! She currently works as support staff at the Bristol Elementary School and was at Newfound Regional High School prior to that, where she graduated from in 2009. She is also enrolled with the University of Phoenix, in her 3rd year studying Elementary Education. It has always been a dream of Kristen’s to be able to work with children. She grew up in a family of 6 kids, has a son of her own and many nieces! Kristen believes that all the benefits of yoga should be shared with children as well, helping them discover who they are in healthy, mindful, and positive ways!
