Scarecrows in the Square 2025
Scarecrow Contest: October 9 – October 26, 2025

We’re inviting everyone in the Newfound region to create and display a scarecrow in Bristol’s Central Square! This fun fall tradition brings the community together to celebrate creativity and autumn spirit.
Important: Please register after you have set up your scarecrow, as the application requires you to attach a photo of your display.
Entry Guidelines
- Scarecrows should be 4–6 feet tall and built on a sturdy frame.
- Frames are available for purchase for just $5.00.
- Entries may be set up starting October 9, 2025.
- Scarecrows may be displayed:
- On the Town Common in Central Square
- In front of your home
- Outside your business
- Scarecrows displayed in Central Square must include a weather-proof ID tag with your name and contact information.
- Submit a photo of your scarecrow with the online application.
- To be eligible for prizes, your scarecrow must be:
- Set up and on display
- Labeled with an ID tag
- Registered online by October 26, 2025
- All scarecrows must be collected from Central Square by November 4, 2025.
Committee Set-Up Assistance
Committee members will be in Central Square to help with setup:
- Thursday, October 9 | 3–5 PM
- Sunday, October 26 | 11 AM – 1 PM
Prizes
- 1st Place: $100 to The Homestead
- 2nd Place: $75 to The Homestead
- 3rd Place: $50 to The Homestead
