Scarecrows in the Square 2026
Scarecrow Contest: October 8 – October 25, 2026 (voting will take place 10/26-10/31!)

We’re inviting everyone in the Newfound region to create and display a scarecrow in Bristol’s Central Square! This fun fall tradition brings the community together to celebrate creativity and autumn spirit.
Important: Please register after you have set up your scarecrow, as the application requires you to attach a photo of your display.
Entry Guidelines
- Scarecrows should be 4–6 feet tall and built on a sturdy frame.
- Scarecrow stands and frames are available at the TTCC for a $5 cash donation. For more information, call 603-744-2713
- Entries may be set up starting October 8, 2026.
- Scarecrows may be displayed:
- On the Town Common in Central Square
- In front of your home
- Outside your business
- Scarecrows displayed in Central Square must include a weather-proof ID tag with your name and contact information.
- Submit a photo of your scarecrow with the online application.
- To be eligible for prizes, your scarecrow must be:
- Set up and on display
- Labeled with an ID tag
- Registered online by October 25, 2026
- All scarecrows must be collected from Central Square by November 4, 2026.
