Ballroom Dancing at the TTCC – Learn to Dance with Ron and Brenda Olson

Lessons will be held on Sundays beginning October 4, 2026.

Class Schedule

5:00 p.m. — Adult Beginner and Refresher Ballroom

Perfect for beginners and anyone who would like to refresh their skills. Participants will learn:

• Slow dancing
• Waltz
• Foxtrot
• Swing

Please wear comfortable clothing and secure, well-fitting shoes or dance shoes. Sneakers are permitted, but flip-flops are not allowed.

6:00 p.m. — Adult Freestyle Ballroom

Designed for dancers who are already familiar with the basics of smooth and Latin dancing. Previous dance experience is required.

Please wear comfortable clothing and dance shoes.

Monthly Class Fees

• $80 per couple, per month*
• $40 per single dancer, per month*

Couples and singles are welcome in both classes. Please note that dance partners cannot be guaranteed for individual participants.

Monthly Ballroom Dance Socials

Join Ron and Brenda Olson for an evening of ballroom dancing at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center in Bristol, New Hampshire.

Ballroom Dance Socials will be held on the third Saturday of every month. Dancers of all ages and abilities are welcome. Come practice your steps, meet other dancers and enjoy a fun evening in your community.

Free Kickoff Social

6:00–9:00 p.m.
Admission is free

Refreshments will be available.

Admission for Future Socials

Beginning with the social following the free September kickoff event, admission will be:

Pre-registered Admission

• $25 per couple
• $15 per single dancer

Admission at the Door

• $30 per couple
• $20 per single dancer

Instructor Bios

Ron and Brenda Olson have been teaching New Hampshire to dance since 1987—and they look forward to teaching you!

Ron and Brenda met on a dance floor in Massachusetts when they were children and grew up sharing a love of dancing. After dancing professionally throughout New England, they opened a dance studio in New Hampshire while raising their family.

Over the years, Ron and Brenda have taught at venues throughout New England and the Tri-State area, including the Tapply-Thompson Community Center. They are excited to return to the TTCC and share the joy of dancing with friends and neighbors.
