Fourth of July in Bristol!

July 4th: Parade! Theme is “Stars, Stripes & Sparklers”, 10am
We’re inviting individuals, groups, and businesses to be part of this year’s 4th of July Parade in Bristol! Whether you’re building a float, marching with a club, or just love being in the spotlight—there’s a place for you. New this year, we’re welcoming kids and adults to decorate their bikes and ride in the parade! You can download the guidelines and printable application, or fill out the digital application to sign up. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
5th Annual Open House at the Bristol Safety Center – stop by after the parade to check out the trucks and equipment! Event ends at noon
July 4th: Firecracker 5K Road Race

The 12th Annual Newfound Firecracker 5K is a fun run hosted by the Newfound Cross Country Program.
– Race starts at 8:30 am at the far end of Kelley Park near Newfound Middle School.
– Check-in/day of registration starts at 7:30am
– Race t-shirts given to first 60 to pre-register before June 16!
– Pre-registration fee $25 / $45 if you register on race day (cash/check only if you wait till the day of!!)
– Medals for top 18+ and <18 male and female runners
– All registrants entered in race day raffle to win fabulous prizes

5K Fundraiser Details –
Proceeds go in part towards the Peter Corneliusen Memorial Scholarship, which is awarded annually to a 4-year track and field Newfound athlete to assist with their continuing education costs. Pete Corneliusen taught at Newfound from 1969 to 1985 and was co-founder of the school’s Track and Field program. The scholarship commemorates his dedication to good sportsmanship, fair play, honest competition, and camaraderie, and his positive influence on young and old alike.
July 5th: Fireworks – at dusk, at the foot of Newfound Lake (rain date July 6th)
6pm-10:30pm

Shore Drive will be closed to all vehicular traffic and parking at 4pm
