STATUS UPDATE- JULY 2024
“A Safe Place to Call Home”
The Tapply-Thompson Community Center is proud and excited to be reporting on our amazing progress with our Renovation and Security Installation project known as “A Safe Place to Call Home”. We have made great progress with several aspects of this project as we are almost finished with our office, reception, and game room area. The new office and game room area has a new drop-down ceiling installed, with all the accompanying wiring [including security], which includes the addition of sprinkler system components. Windows have been installed and the flooring is complete for this area. We are almost at the ‘move-in’ stage for this piece.
We have completed work on our gymnasium floor and it is a remarkable improvement. We gained space and quality of flooring for this item, and it will be used extensively. Carpeting has been installed in the second entrance foyer and on the stairs leading to third level. Mitsubishi mini split heating and cooling systems are all installed, and our electrical work is almost completed as well.
The work for the ADA accessway is under way with foundation work completed and framing to ensue. The foundation has been seal-coated and the grading for a new driveway is complete. The Sprinkler System work is mostly finished with connections and fine-tuning left to finish. The Steeple has been painted, as have the offices and game room area, -it is an amazing transformation to witness. Thank you all for your continued patience!
